To create is my escape, my relief, my form of journaling. I have used art as an outlet to understand myself, my environment, and the experiences I’ve had up until this point. Most of my pieces are a surreal blend of everyday things, memories, and how I am feeling in the moment. I like to keep my materials and processes fluid and experimental so that my work reflects my ever changing and growing nature. My work will always be a mirror rather than a window, and while I do create for me, I also create for connection. I hope that when I produce a work, the audience will be able to understand, relate to, and feel seen through the piece. I create to open a door to a side of life that is more glorified than rationalized.
